The Coolidge at Sudbury

B’nai B’rith Housing’s upcoming development is a 64 unit rental community for seniors and older adults, ages 55 and older. It provides a housing alternative that does not currently exist in Sudbury–an affordable rental option for Sudbury resdients as well as seniors who may relocate to be closer to children and grandchildren. The name “The Coolidge” pays homage to the family who began the substantial greenhouse operation on the site in the 1800s.

  • Over 25% of Sudbury households have at least one member who is over 60. Notably, over a quarter of
these households are individuals living alone. Of Lincoln-Sudbury seniors, 30% of households over
65 years of age have income less than $50,000 per year.
  • Working closely with senior service agencies, this residential community will create quality rental
housing that promotes active living. Made up of 1 and 2 bedroom apartments, the facility will boast
common space and amenities, including a meeting room, library, and fitness center.
  • The proposal received unanimous support from the Sudbury Board of Selectmen and received its
    permit in August of 2011.
